Football Skills Development Programs
Our Football Skills Development Programs are led by Jaelen Strong and are designed to help athletes build strong fundamentals, improve game understanding, and grow with confidence—no matter their starting point. Using the same planning, structure, and instructional systems that have guided our youth development work for over 25 years, we provide a training environment where athletes can learn, progress, and thrive.
Our programs and camps are is designed for athletes to be able to attend a variety of camps or sessions to meet the needs of families.

Always arrive 10 -15 minutes prior to training time ready to go.

All skills development and Camps are currently held at "THE GAUNTLET" our facility in Chandler, AZ.

what do I bring?
Age appropriate football, field cleats (bring extra shoes so you don't walk around and damage your cleats in parking lots and concrete), shorts/pants, t-shirt, warm up gear optional, mouthpiece, water and a post workout snack (usually a protein bar is sufficient).... and of course a positive ready to grind attitude!

ADDITIONAL cost other than registration
Personal Football - Pee-Wee (Size 5) for under 9s, Junior (Size 6) for ages 10-12, and Youth/Intermediate (Size 7) for ages 12-14, Official (size 9) standard for high school, college, and professional play.
Football Shoes - Field cleats (bring extra shoes to preserve cleats)
Mouthpiece - Required for safety.
Helmet - You will be notified if you are required to have a practice helmet.
Clothing - Shorts/pants, T-Shirt, Warm ups are optional.
Eye Glasses - *If you or your athlete wears glasses, please provide athletic glasses and strap. We have seen far too many valuable glasses get broken*
Additional - We do not wrap, tape, splint or perform any "trainer" support during skills. Please prepare yourself or your athlete prior to attending.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does start? Look at the session start dates when you signed up. If you want more sessions, you will have to purchase more.
What are the age divisions? We place kids in age and level appropriate groups when training. You can see our typical divisions under about/divisions on our website.
Do you provide trainers or does someone else? Our approved staff trains all athletes to ensure consistency, responsibility and continuity for athletes.
How do I register my team or child for other Compass Sports Performance memberships? Go to the memberships tab on our website, hover over the memberships tab and see what we have available.
What size football does my child need? Pee-Wee (Size 5) for under 9s, Junior (Size 6) for ages 10-12, and Youth/Intermediate (Size 7) for ages 12-14, Official (size 9) standard for high school, college, and professional play.
Do I have to be in a club to have a membership? No, clubs are separate memberships. If you are interested in a club, we can help you find the one that best fits you. We will provide you affiliate clubs to interview, YOU PICK! Currently we are solidifying our football club affiliates. Reach out to Jaelen Strong or Zach Latimer if you are interested.
Are tryouts required for club teams? It depends on the club teams, but most if not all have entry level and competitive.
Can we rent gym or field space? We do not "rent" space in our facilities, but we offer memberships to clubs and individuals. Please contact us for more information.
Do you also host tournaments? Yes, we host a variety of tournaments, programs and camps throughout the year. Get on our mailing list by becoming a member or reach out to us.
What is the refund policy? All membership, program, camp and tournament payments are non-refundable, as our staffing and scheduling are planned in advance to ensure a great experience for every athlete. If you need to make a change, simply provide a 30-day notice, and your membership will end the following month. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to provide consistent, high-quality training for all participants.
What if I lost something at one of your facilities? Please reach out to us and we will try to help you locate it, however do to the volume of items left behind we donate items after one week. Please remember your items!
